Ted Gillespie is having his first solo show at the Gretchen Bingham Gallery in St Louis, Mo. Thought provoking, compelling and wrapped in a current political and social cloak. His work will have you thinking, questioning and probably a little uncomfortable. Living in our prevailing social climate, Ted is not timid to tackle subjects like suicide, loss, religion, elections, disease or even a survivor of a $200.00 Ice Pick Lobotomy.

His new works are created with old discarded pieces of Americana that have found a new home, a new purpose, a new life. It could be a burnt baby carriage from a ditch, a broken bird cage from a flea market or medicine bottles from his own cabinet, nothing is off limits.

"Swallowing The Chicken Bone" may just have you leaving picking your brain.
